Odeon, Vienna
The Odeon originally was built in the late 1880ies as a stockexchange for agricultural goods. During the last days of WWII it was massively damaged by fire. In 1988 two enthusiastic dance theatre people renovated and adapted the building mainly with private fundings as a dance theatre. The name Odeon comes from the Greek word "odeion" meaning an open, covered place for dance and music performances.
