Katherine Guidry, Dancer, Houston

When I was 15 years old, the Stars of Tomorrow program granted me the opportunity to travel internationally for the first time and do what I loved most: dance. The months leading up to departure were filled with hours of learning choreography and rehearsing pieces for the Austrian audiences. All of the preparation paid off as we performed our way through the beautiful European country. From small, cozy Alpine towns to breathtaking cities like Salzburg and Innsbruck, each venue I visited with the Stars of Tomorrow group provided a unique experience. Although I could not speak German at the time, I was able to communicate using the universal language of dance. This form of cross-cultural connection opened up my eyes to the world in a way that inspired me to challenge myself to grow in new ways. As a result, I became determined to start learning German. This decision set me on a path to speaking the language fluently, studying German in college, and moving to Austria after graduation.  If I had not traveled to Austria with Stars when I was fifteen, I would not be where I am today. Thanks to Stars of Tomorrow,  I learned so much about myself, others, and the world all while getting to share the gift of dance in a global setting. Stars of Tomorrow changed my life in the most incredible and unimaginable ways possible. I am sure it will do the same for you. See you in Austria!

Having the opportunity to tour Austria with Stars of Tomorrow Int´l was above expectation for directors, dancers and parents. The moments we all shared will be treasured for a lifetime. I wish to thank the incredible staff for their eye for detail in coordinating this marvelous experience.  It was refreshing that the caliber of the dancers from the participating companies were of a high caliber, allowing us all to be proud of each performance. The venues were exceptional and the audiences were full and very receptive. We appreciated that your scheduling allowed proper preparation, as well as time to see the sites of each interesting city. Your tour guides were so entertaining, and the parents had so much to enjoy when their dancer was rehearsing. We shall be joining you again in a couple of years.

I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our trip.  It was well-organized, well-led and well-executed by you and your colleagues.  I have to compliment the planning and execution for all the logistics as it is not easy to plan for so many variables and execute them so well … the food was tremendously good throughout the trip …
